Amazon Music's Free and Prime Music team is looking for a visionary Senior Product Manager - Tech with experience and desire to innovate, design, and build Amazon Music's ads-supported music experience for millions of customers. You will have enormous opportunity to impact the customer experience, voice and visual design, architecture, and implementation of cutting edge products that will be used every day by people you know. We’re looking for people who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, demonstrate a high degree of product ownership, and want to have fun while they make history. A commitment to team work, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. The role requires leaders with technical depth as well as strong hold on industry best practices.

  Our team is focused on building the best free music experience available for customers looking for a free product, while enabling those who want a paid on-demand music experience to convert to Amazon Music Unlimited. Our team builds systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, voice-forward audio engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa to support our customer base. Amazon Music offerings are available in countries around the world, and our applications support our mission of delivering music to customers in new and exciting ways that enhance their day-to-day lives.

  Key job responsibilities

  This role will be focused on growing the Free and Prime Music customer base. Additionally, responsibilities include the voice of the customer for Free and Prime Music, responsible for ensuring that our priorities highly map to the most pressing customer needs. We are looking for a seasoned product manager who is passionate about music, capable of operating in an ambiguous and complex space with high judgement, and effective at making data-driven decisions while driving impactful projects. An ideal candidate loves to Dive Deep into technical and non-technical areas to lead the team’s direction, has strong customer obsession, and has a track record of delivering results through incremental improvements, A/B testing, and cross-organizational high impact projects.

  San Francisco, CA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

  2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  Bachelor's degree

  Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  Experience managing technical products or online services

  Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  Preferred Qualifications

  Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
