　　Job Overview

　　Responsible for various activities related to the patient registration process, collection of demographic, financial and insurance information. Screens patients prior to services being rendered, collects co-pays, and renders "self-pay" patients to appropriate financial services when needed. Enters data accurately and ensures prompt service to all patients. Acts as a liaison for other ancillary departments within the hospital. Provides additional direct support to the clinical staff, by assisting in the scheduling and pre-registration of ancillary tests and various other duties.

　　Qualifications

　　Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and three years of prior experience in medical billing required, bilingual preferred. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Work requires communication skills needed to frequently answer telephone calls and work with multiple interruptions and still sustain positive communication.
