Xello is looking for a Sr. Partnership Development Manager (1 Year Contract)

As the Sr. Partnership Development Manager, you will help grow revenue and Xello’s reach in the education space by building and managing Xello’s partner ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Demand Generation, you will maintain relationships with existing strategic partners, and pursue new partnership opportunities to establish partnership channels as a core pillar for Xello’s growth. A natural relationship builder, you’re someone with initiative and a keen eye for new opportunities. With an analytical mindset, you’ll develop strategies and go-to-market plans that deliver a winning experience for our customers, company, and partners. As a strategic doer, you’re just as excited about building plans as you are about executing against them and seeing the end results.

What you’ll do…
Analyze the EdTech landscape and determine areas of opportunity for partnership
Develop the vision for Xello’s partnership ecosystem, with a focus on regional partnerships
Pursue and assess channel, service, lead generation, and integration partner opportunities
Lead the launch and go-to-market plan for new partners
Manage the growth and monetization of existing partner relationships through scalable programs
Develop partner toolkits and playbooks
Design partner promotional calendar and lead seasonal partner campaigns
Facilitate partner sales and services training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders
Own reporting of partnership performance and analyze channel efficiency, participating in regular business reviews with leadership
Develop and negotiate new partner contracts and manage contracts renewals
Manage partner marketing budget
What we’re looking for…
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Solid understanding of partnerships and alliances and how they can create value for the business
Familiarity with different partnership models, and experience in developing different deal structures based on business objectives
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience with drafting partnership contracts and negotiating agreements
Experience with education software
Experience with SalesForce or other CRM
Strong relationship building skills and ability to build rapport and trust
Resourcefulness, creativity, and the ability to innovate in order to achieve results
Ability to successfully manage projects and lead initiatives involving cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of initiative and confidence to bring forward recommendations and lead change
Comfortable with ambiguity -- you’re not daunted by having to build something from scratch and create a foundation for operational excellence
Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate complex processes
Clear communication skills and ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and actions to colleagues and senior leadership
Comfortable working in a rapidly growing environment
Able to prioritize to ensure the most important problems are being solved with an eye on driving maximum returns -- this includes the courage to say no in order maintain focus and stay on task towards department and business objectives
