　　AWS is looking for an expert Senior Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplined security team of technical and non-technical experts. This team manages the underlying security programs and processes for personnel security, physical security system design and accreditations, education, awareness and training, information assurance, and program security. This position will have high visibility at the most senior levels of government agencies, commercial institutions, and AWS including frequent interaction with CISOs, CTOs, their staffs, and AWS senior leadership.

　　This leader will be managing a team of industry-leading security experts working with UK customers to operate and continuously improve industry-leading security programs and processes. This leader is responsible for developing this team at a high pace, high visibility environment to execute the team’s vision. We’re looking for an experienced leader who can prioritize well, can communicate clearly and compellingly, can lead distributed teams, is influential, and who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, and geographically diverse team. AWS Security requires innovative thinking balanced with a strong customer and focus on quality and execution. This Senior Engineering Manager will have a multi-disciplined background, a strong track record of leading security programs to include public sector security programs, demonstrable program/project management, and a deep understanding of general security programs, processes, and requirements and the engineering needed to deliver and scale programs across security and wider stakeholders.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　Among other duties, the Senior Security Manager will:

　　· Ensure programs are developed and operated in accordance with internal and customer security policies and practices

　　· Develop, track, and report on key program performance metrics

　　· Continuously monitor processes and drive improvements in efficiency and quality of our security programs

　　· Conduct periodic program reviews to ensure compliance with the accreditation/certification requirements in increasingly innovative ways

　　· Engage with AWS and customer leadership teams on a regular basis

　　· Build and optimize the security engineering approaches in the team.

　　· Deliver advanced security solutions aimed at addressing a unique threat space.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　· Extensive experience in the security field

　　· Experience as a security program manager

　　· Experience in personnel security

　　· Advanced Degree in (Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security, IT Security Management), related security field or equivalent experience

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　· An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently; have a passion to improve at every opportunity

　　· Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business

　　· Ability to able to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders

　　· Demonstrated maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills

　　· Must be able to define program goals and roadmaps based on customer needs and strategic direction, and ensure that committed projects are delivered on schedule by the relevant team members

　　· Familiarity with web services, multi-tiered systems, workflow modeling and enterprise application integration

　　· Ideal candidate will have an intermediate or better level of knowledge of a variety of government security programs in multiple fields (personnel security, program security, physical security, and education, awareness, and training)
