This is your opportunity to jump in and fill a core leadership role, helping to define and implement a supply chain for a new business opportunity.

  We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to oversee the Fulfillment & Logistics team. This team is responsible for material storage, order fulfillment, outbound and reverse logistics for hardware products. This leader will build processes and drive enhancements for our deployment and break/fix supply chain. They must be an expert in inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, reverse logistics processes, and asset & inventory management with a global perspective. They’ll leverage their operations expertise to drive innovations and lead projects to reduce cost and help the organization scale while keeping operating costs low. They will need to create strong partnerships across suppliers, finance, product, and technical teams and their impact will be visible at the L8+ level. This leader needs a deep understanding of operational processes and must be willing to build and implement mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.

  Responsible for the Fulfillment & Logistics team’s vision and execution plans for long term scaling, this leader will have the opportunity to make big decisions and innovate to improve the customer experience. They will also be an active participate in the day-to-day tactical operations especially as we get the startup rolling. The ability to operate at all levels will help identify root causes and improve performance as we scale. They will foster an environment of continuous improvement and look for ways to simplify and improve our supply chain operations.

  This role interacts with third party providers for warehousing and transportation and also seeks partnerships across other supply chains within Amazon. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that is only going to grow. If you're excited to make important decisions and lead autonomously, this is the position for you.

  Key job responsibilities

  Oversee day to day operations for transportation and warehousing

  Identify projects to simplify and improve operations

  Partner with up- and down-stream teams to address pain points

  Operate at both a contributor and manager level

  Develop a team of leaders and empower them to make decisions independently

  Serve as an escalation point when operational issues arise

  Basic Qualifications

  7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  7+ years of program or project management experience

  7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  Experience defining and executing program requirements

  Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
