Telecommuting available from anywhere in the US.DUTIES: The Senior Manager of Analytics and Business Intelligence focuses on the development and operation of BI/data warehousing capabilities, including managing staffing requirements, optimizing processes and technology, and ensuring high availability of enterprise data platforms and reporting tools. The position works closely with business leaders and stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support analytics solutions to deliver essential information to satisfy their information needs.Specific duties to include: (1) Working with stakeholders and business unit management to define business and systems requirements for new information technologies, particularly in the areas of BI, analytics, and data warehousing; (2) Ensuring the efficient utilization of data resources, products, 3rd party vendors; (3) Managing the design, creation, and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and information artifacts; (4) Facilitating feasibility studies, proof of concepts, pilot project, and testing; (5) Assisting with departmental budgeting efforts, cost estimation; (6) Scoping, Developing, examining, and refining BI metrics; (7) Ensuring best practices are established and followed for effective problem resolution for a high availability, 24/7, global environment; (8) Creating project plans, defining key deliverables, and overseeing ongoing delivery; (9) Developing, implementing, and maintaining BI and data management policies and procedures, including those for BI/EDW architecture, data centers, standards, purchasing, monitoring, and service provisioning; (10) Managing the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of BI/EDW systems, including data architecture, data integration, high availability, security, and data privacy; (11) Helping define the short- and long-term strategies for the corporate BI/analytics program to ensure effective delivery of information that meets current and future requirements; (12) Preparing estimates for resources, cloud services, software, and related costs, crafting SOWs and monitoring ongoing delivery and spend; (13) Analyzing existing operations and making recommendations for the improvement and growth of the BI/EDW architecture; (14) Conducting research and remaining current with the latest data technologies and solutions in support of future data management procurement efforts; (15) Developing requests for proposal; (16) Assisting with operations staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management; (17) Ensuring change management practices conform to organization-wide standards; (18) Managing operational issues and incidents, tracking ongoing operational metrics; (19) Establishing and maintaining regular written and in-person communications with the organization's leadership, management, and end users regarding information-based decision making; (20) Prioritizing requests and providing ongoing status of in-flight work; (21) Designing and creating data structures needed to support dashboarding, reporting, and data science and business intelligence projects, using dimensional models in data warehouses, columnar store databases, OLAP cubes, Microsoft tabular models, and Bigdata / distributed file systems; (22) Solving problems by interpreting SQL stored procedures that update databases; (23) Addressing data integrity issues and working to solve root cause process or systems issues
