　　Job Summary

　　This position will work closely with professionals in other areas of the construction process, including clients, architects, and vendors to provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of contracts .

　　Duties and Responsibilities

　　Knowledge and understanding of construction methods/techniques

　　Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate

　　Consults with clients, vendors, subcontractors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues

　　Provide complete conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects

　　Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project assigned

　　Ability to manage and lead cost savings / value engineering efforts to steer projects to the budget.

　　Ability to take ownership for multiple/diverse project responsibilities simultaneously

　　Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies

　　Project communication & RFI Management

　　Mentor and supervise the work of Estimators, Project Engineers or Assistant Estimators

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering

　　Quality knowledge - building envelope, foundations, roofing systems, concrete slab moisture levels, mechanical systems, ADA standards, etc.

　　Knowledge of Estimating software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

　　8+ years of experience as an Estimator / Sr. Estimator for complex commercial projects.
