Position Overview:
Sr. Director – BI&A Consumer Analytics, is responsible for implementing DTC analytics projects for the US Diabetes and Obesity Business Unit. The Sr. Director of Consumer Analytics reports to Associate Vice President, BI&A Consumer Analytics.
Responsibilities:
Implement Analytics Projects:
Own the story for Channel/Campaign/Marketing Mix Model/return on investment results for all LDO brands
Deep dive into projects as they progress (understanding how the work was done and implications for the business on how to use the analyses), provide linkages to other analytics projects to ensure consistency, consult on developing the story, present the findings and advise/recommend changes to execution tactics.
Deliver segmentation and audiences to brands and media team based on behavioral data. Integrate with agency targeting as appropriate to drive efficiency.
Lead the development and scaling of AI/ML in market execution with internal and agency partners.
LDO link to DTC measurement framework and execution. Lead business reviews of media performance & activation opportunities
Partner closely with Media team, Media Ops, Personalization, Data Strategy & Brand teams to drive unified approach to activation.
Lead Lilly Diabetes and Obesity input into the evolution of Direct to Consumer measurement both leading and lagging measures.
Mentor and develop analytics resources providing hands-on direction and project oversight for business integration.
Collaborate with Data Science resources directing and supervising project oversight across LAL modeling, testing and analysis.
As needed/if needed, supervise, steward and own 3rd party analytics spend for US LDO
Assess and identify new data/sources and capabilities in partnership with media, agency and other partners to enhance behavioral insights, activation and optimizations capabilities for consumer.
Support analytics/measurement and planning for in-market test and control pilots.
Ensure analytics projects follow all privacy, legal requirements include any 3rd party and data use agreements.
Drive integration of analytics results into decision making to continue to improve LDO efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with multi-functional partners from HCP/Payer to synthesis cross channel insights.
Provide Assistance to the Forecasting and Analytics:
Project oversight and leadership on analytics projects working with the individuals doing the work (internal or external)
Consulting (and where applicable provide domain expertise) on methods and techniques
Answer questions/provide direction and expertise on business rules for analyses
Triage analytics requests/needs and determine where/how to proceed (internal existing capacity, external vendor) matching capacity and capability
Provide estimated return on investment/Value of campaigns and/or tactics that can influence forecasted value or business impact
Integrate with business plan cycles
Align LDO measurement into US portfolio integration windows to lead portfolio optimization approach
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics or Mathematics or equivalent work experience
3+ years' analytics experience

Additional Preferences:
Strong analytical skills coupled with eye for business, and an ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment
Consistent track record leading and delivering complex multi-functional projects
Experience in valuation model building and robust excel modeling skills
Substantial analytics experience with understanding of complexities in specialty markets, analytics techniques and US pharmaceutical business
Experience with 3rd party data
Ability to rally resources to achieve project and business results
High level of motivation and a willingness to find creative solutions to challenging situations
Superb communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to apply all Compliance Policies and Procedures (CPP) and Good Promotional Practices (GPP) and related Federal marketing and promotional laws and regulations in unstructured and fluid situations
Demonstrated ability to implement business rules and policies in a constructive but principled manner
