Overview

　　Kimley-Horn is seeking an experienced Civil Designer with at least 8+ years of land development experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D to join our team in Riverside, CA. As a Civil Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of various land development projects.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software to prepare detailed civil engineering plans and designs for land development projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility design.

　　Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that design objectives and client requirements are met.

　　Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data and information for the design process.

　　Prepare and review technical drawings, including site plans, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

　　Perform calculations and analysis to support the design process, such as earthwork volumes, stormwater management, and utility sizing.

　　Assist in the preparation of technical reports, cost estimates, and permit applications.

　　Stay updated with industry standards and best practices in civil design, and recommend innovative solutions and improvements.

　　Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, sharing your expertise and assisting in their professional development.

　　Qualifications

　　Possess a minimum of 8+ years of experience in civil design for land development projects.

　　Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required.

　　Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility design.

　　Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to land development and infrastructure design.

　　Ability to interpret and apply design standards, specifications, and codes.

　　Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and error-free drawings and designs.

　　Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with project team members, clients, and regulatory agencies.

　　Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

　　Knowledge of other design software and tools, such as MicroStation, is a plus.

　　Salary Range:

　　$95,000 - $130,000
