　　The Opportunity

　　The Senior Data Modeler/Data Architect is part of a team responsible for technical oversight and implementation of data initiatives. This role is directly involved in the designing, building and maintaining the data analytics models. This role establishes the architecture and frameworks that facilitate appropriate and efficient access to enterprise information. This position understands business challenges, creates technical approaches for supporting analytical solutions and oversees their deployment and ongoing supportability.

　　Work in a variety of settings to build systems that collect, manage and convert raw data into usable information for data consumption

　　Develop and create model solutions with ability to articulate the reasons of the model alternatives or proposal.

　　Create or oversee design as well as build strategic data models which allow self-service or individual and specific user cases thinking across the technologies utilized (Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Power BI, PowerON)

　　Work with different stakeholders from different enterprise domains such as finance, supply chain, master data, quality, sales, commercial working to achieve reusability and buy’in from key stakeholders.

　　Oversee and govern the expansion of existing data architecture and the optimization of data query performance via best practices looking for current and future use of data.

　　The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively.

　　Provide system support to end users and administrators to resolve complex business and/or technical problems.

　　Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

　　Support data governance work as needed.

　　EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

　　Bachelor’s degree on engineering preferred or equivalent years of experience

　　7+ years of experience in IT with relevant data experience

　　4 years of experience working in an IT environment independently and as part of a team.

　　4+ years of experience with Data Engineering and/or Data Modeling

　　Strong technical and organizational skills

　　Solid experience in data technologies

　　Microsoft Azure, DataFactory, DataBricks, SQL Server, Synapse

　　Preferred skills:

　　Experience with Python and Spark (SCALA is a preferred skill)

　　Azure Data Lake House experience

　　SAP BW/Hana experience.

　　Azure Delta Lake

　　Experience with Software Life Cycle (SLC) based on Waterfall and Agile methodology.
