Reporting to Director, Information Security Architecture, the Sr. Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for the security and availability of information assets at Omnicell’s cloud services with focus on configuration security, security controls, monitoring, development, and the secure integration with SaaS and on-prem services. This position plays an important role in implementing effective information security & risk management solutions while providing key support necessary to protect the information assets of the company.
Responsibilities:
Provide secure cloud workload requirements and engineer solutions that are securely designed, developed and implemented while enforcing conformity with technical standards and approved cloud secure architectures that align to regulatory and compliance standards.
Define technical security workloads related to cloud workloads that require integration with security event monitoring, IAM, security groups, data and information patterns, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, systems integration and others.
Define security requirements, designing secure solutions for both cloud and on-premise IT implementations, developing, and executing test cases and providing general cyber security guidance in accordance with policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
Responsible for threat monitoring and assists with incident investigation and response.
Collaborates with adjacent IT teams in securing and monitoring network & server infrastructures, applications, filtering appliances, firewalls and cloud based services.
Analyzes Security log and event data.
Assessing risks and policy compliance associated with IT environments
Identifies, implements, and administers technologies and solutions that improve the security posture of Omnicell.
Designing and validating security standards, policies and solutions that align with the dynamic and agile nature of today's IT
Serves as subject matter expert regarding security best practices.
Maintains awareness of current and emerging threat landscape.
Compiles security & compliance metrics.
Documents and escalates security incidents within specified/assigned systems to ensure timely follow-up and tracking.
Documents procedures and policies along with training staff in and procedures.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Hands on Experience with Azure and AWS security configurations.
Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure components and concepts like networking, server administration, firewalls, access controls, and identity and access management.
Strong understanding of encryption technologies.
Strong understanding of devsecops.
Knowledge of Identity & Access Management practices, systems and controls.
Experience using risk-based/cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, and knowledge of cyber incident management processes.
Familiarity with Network-, Mobile Devices-, Linux-and Windows Operating System Risks and Vulnerabilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years’ Information Technology experience OR
HS Diploma/GED plus 10 years information technology experience.
5 years hands-on experience in IT security related applications, processes, and procedures
3+ years experience designing, configuring, and implementing cloud security solutions across AWS and Azure in cloud security.
3+ years experience in Palo Alto Prisma Cloud.
Preferred:
Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialist, Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500)
Cloud security operations, Cisco, and other network and firewall certifications and training a plus.

Occasional travel up to once per quarter.
