Position Description:
Sr. Business Process Improvement Analyst for Covidien LP (a Medtronic company) located in North Haven, CT. Responsible to coordinate, deploy, and implement Lean and Continuous Improvement throughout the business. Initiate deployment activities within to ensure that improvement actions are directly linked to the strategic and tactical objectives of the operating unit, emphasizing efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, and enabling breakthrough process changes and improvements. Diagram and evaluate existing processes while developing metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Coordinate Lean and Six Sigma projects, initiatives, and transformational activities to drive quality improvement and financial savings. Train engineers and non-engineers on Continuous Improvement, Project Management, or Quality System Process. Navigate the complexity of industry and government regulations to include FDA and other Medical Devices Regulation including FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EU MDR, ISO 13485 and Good Manufacturer Practices. Responsible for various CAPA Corrective and Preventive Actions processes. Support risk management, and process and product validations. Coordinate organization evaluation, due diligence and integration. Implement process improvement through DMAIC methodical problem solving, and root cause analysis. Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial), Operations Management, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related field and five (5) years of experience as a process improvement analyst or an occupation in process improvement analysis or industrial engineering; or a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial), Operations Management, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related field and two (2) years of experience as a process improvement analyst or an occupation in process improvement analysis or industrial engineering.
Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Lean Six Sigma and Lean Fundamentals; DMAIC Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis; Training engineers and non-engineers on Quality System Process, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management; FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EU MDR, ISO 13485 and Good Manufacturer Practices; Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) process; and Process & Product Validation and Risk Management.
