Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager based in Cleveland, OH to lead and execute interdisciplinary projects with a focus on Federal, Civic/Municipal, Science & Technology, and Higher Education projects in a highly collaborative and design-focused studio.
This key leader will be responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. Responsible for planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, and identifying and addressing scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
Serving as the main liaison between the client and the project team.
Overseeing a diverse client portfolio, managing multiple concurrent projects.
Collaborating with cross-functional technical leads to ensure seamless project delivery from design through construction.
Scrutinizing and negotiating contracts, as well as formulating fee proposals.
Proficiently devising strategies, risk mitigation plans, proposal creation, contract analysis, and guiding project teams through successful project implementation.
Champion a collaborative leadership style, valuing input and perspectives from team members at all levels of the organization
Managing and leading all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and tools
Managing sub-consultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance
Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for the execution of projects
Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget
Assisting in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility
Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner
Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk
Assessing project performance through relevant tools and methodologies.
Communicating project updates and escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
Cultivating client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring open lines of communication.
Conducting comprehensive risk assessments to proactively mitigate potential project challenges.
Maintaining project documentation control
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, plus six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Architecture is preferred
Licensed Architect with 15+ years of related experience in the industry
Demonstrated history of cultivating strong working relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring a unified approach in achieving organizational objectives
Attentive to detail, systematic, precise, process-driven, while remaining adaptable and driven by a passion for innovation
Advanced knowledge of the architectural planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration, and code requirements
Experience managing concurrent projects in various stages of development and managing multiple project types with an emphasis on design, sustainability, and innovation
Innovative problem solver with excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills and a proven ability to manage people and projects through strong demonstrated organizational skills
Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities as a member of the Architectural leadership team
Proactive and driven individual with a results-driven mindset, consistently pursuing high standards of achievement.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to career growth and exhibits leadership potential.
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000
