Sr Advanced User Experience Designer

　　Sr Advanced User Experience Designer for Hand Held Products Inc. in Fort Mill, SC

　　Responsibilities:

　　Develop and govern the Design Language Strategy, applied to all new physical products in Honeywell.

　　Act as part of Honeywell's Brand Council that determines brand compliance for all new communication assets and products.

　　Day to day duties involve: global design quality reviews, global physical design meetings for sharing and best practices; industrial design work; future product strategy and innovation roadmaps; customer engagement and co-development; cross-function department workshops for end-to-end experience mapping; mentoring the global industrial design team and connecting physical and digital design teams across multiple product categories (handheld computing, gas detection, PPE, healthcare) to deliver integrated solutions to market.

　　YOU MUST HAVE:

　　Qualified applicants must have a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial and Interaction Design, Graphic Design and Visual Experience or a related field, and 4 years of experience in Commercial and Industrial Design. Full term of experience must include: covering end-to-end processes from design, thinking and strategy to execution; strong knowledge and understanding of branding principles, design principles, Color/Material/Finishes (CMF) and design thinking processes; familiarity with typography, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy; proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD) and 3D/Animation tools, suchs as Alias, Rhino 3D and Solidworks; and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project requirements. Must possess 3 years of the following experience: Interactive/digital design, industrial design and product branding expertise; designing launched products on the market; deep user experience knowledge; customer research methodologies for insight gathering and analysis developing and implementing design language systems, brand guidelines, and style guides; conducting market research, competitive analysis, and user research; and ability to gather insights, identify trends, and translate data into actionable design strategies. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week. Up to 30% international/domestic travel required.
