About Director - Enterprise Print Management

  The Director of Enterprise Print Management reports to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), is a member of the Supplier Management Leadership Team (SMLT) and is responsible for developing, operationalizing, and managing a comprehensive print management vision and strategy that aligns with business strategy and objectives. The Director of Enterprise Print Management (EPM) will leverage leading end-to-end print operations, supplier management and procurement processes that drive highest value for Print communications across the enterprise by optimizing every component of print and postage utilization.

  Location: Remote Work Style - Preferred location would be based is Louisville, KY; Arlington, VA; Washington, DC - East Coast working hours

  The Director will be accountable for establishing short-, mid- and long-range targets, including cost, operations optimization and management, supplier performance and relationship management, in line with business plans and in collaboration with various leaders and business partners in Marketing, Insurance, CenterWell and Finance. The leader will also be responsible for leveraging print metrics, analytics, insights, and innovation to influence the business and drive actionable outcomes for the organization. The spend and activities under management include procurement, operational purchasing, supplier management, budget management, innovation, and reporting for transactional print (such as Explanation of Benefits, Letters, Program-driven initiatives, etc.) and non-transaction Print/Mail (program / marketing campaigns, Annual Notification of Change, Annual Enrollment materials, books, mailers, print storefronts, etc.). The leader will effectively manage a large internal print and postage budget and drive value for businesses-owned print and postage budgets, leading to year-on-year savings.

  The team of 19 resources under this role will develop the capabilities to deliver against this vision, partner with the Director in the execution of the vision and will also be crucial to drive insights and innovative thinking across the organization.

  Key Responsibilities:

  In partnership with the CPO, Marketing, and business stakeholders, develop and execute an inspirational functional vision and strategy for Enterprise Print Management that Humana can leverage to create a competitive advantage.

  Execute fit-for-purpose world class Print Management processes and solutions including just-in-time inventory management, optimized postage utilization and supplier management (relationship and strategic performance management, including risk and resiliency), and market intelligence.

  Effectively manage a $100M+ print budget, leveraging Marketing, Finance, the business stakeholders, and strategic supply partners to innovate and drive year-on-year savings for Humana.

  Align EPM's functional strategies and operations with the company strategy and goals.

  Establish and deliver print strategies and solutions for operational risk and resiliency to support evolving business needs.

  Execute with operational excellence and refine processes utilizing data analytics and insights.

  Lead enterprise-wide initiatives, drive innovation to optimize the budget and member experience, and engage with executive leadership as necessary.

  Cultivate a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  Establish and manage effective learning and development, succession planning, and change management for EPM

  Collaborate with the CPO on other organization-wide initiatives that deliver strategic value to the enterprise.

  Required Qualifications:

  The Director must be an experienced leader with a strong track of Print Management experience, driving value in large organizations in a collaborative and engaging manner. The individual must demonstrate leadership and experience in delivering major enterprise-wide initiatives that have transformed the print management function. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  8 or more years of working experience in Print Management, Logistics Management, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or a related discipline.

  Comprehensive knowledge of and extensive experience in print management business processes, practices, and technologies, including experience deploying them across the organization and/or businesses.

  Demonstrated leadership and deployment of best practices or transformation in print management and supplier management, including change management and communications.

  Leadership, communication, influencing and collaboration skills with various organizational levels, including senior management.

  5 or more years' experience in people management.

  Experience in identifying and harnessing stakeholder-oriented innovative solutions.

  Proven track record in delivering against KPIs / metrics and driving operational improvements for large organizations.

  Results-oriented mindset, strong business / financial acumen, strategic thinking, and customer-orientation.

  Bachelor's Degree

  Preferred Qualifications:

  MBA or other advanced degree

  Six Sigma certification

  Project Management Professional

  Pay Range

  The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$136,200 - $187,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
