Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. As a Sr. Accountant, your main role will be managing grants, overseeing treasury functions, investments, and endowments. You will be expected to handle account and balance sheet reconciliations and maintain a detailed general ledger. This role also includes managing journal entries and ensuring a smooth month-end close process.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administration of grants and post-grant activities

• Manage treasury operations and endowment funds

• Handle account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks

• Maintain an accurate and detailed general ledger

• Prepare and manage journal entries

• Ensure a smooth month-end close process

• Oversee bank reconciliations

• Utilize the Banner system for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting.

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in maintaining General Ledger and creating Journal Entries.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Understanding of Treasury management in a non-profit environment.

• Experience in Grant Accounting and Grant Administration is a must.

• Ability to handle Post-grant and Endowment Funds management.

• Familiarity with accounting software, specifically Banner, is highly desirable.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Commitment to the values and mission of non-profit organizations.

• CPA certification or progress towards it is a plus.
