The Senior Accountant is responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. High-level analytical skills are a must. This position is full time with excellent compensation and benefits, as well as the chance to grow.
What you get to do every single day
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Quality experience with Fixed Asset Depreciation
Full Cycle Accounting experience desired
General familiarity with Invoice Approvals
Journal entries experience required
Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Earlier work involving month end closings
Good understanding of accruals
Deep understanding of account reconciliation
Proven knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Account reconciliation experience highly desired
Practical knowledge of Prepaid Expense
Wide ranging experience with Fixed Asset Inventory
Well-founded grasp of bank reconciliations
