Description

　　A growing financial services firm based in Morristown, NJ is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their practice on a contract to full-time basis. The Senior Accountant will report into the Accounting Manager, and will initially be tasked with reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and supporting monthly close activities. Over time, the Senior Accountant will be involved with reconciling intercompany transactions, consolidations, and eliminations, as well as preparing financial statements. The ideal Senior Accountant will have a minimum of 3 years' accounting experience within the financial services, banking, or professional services sectors in companies with multiple entities. Proficiency with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite is strongly preferred, as is a willingness to develop professionally and take on additional responsibilities.

　　Experience with QuickBooks preferred, NetSuite is a plus

　　Prior experience in Financial Services, Banking, or Professional Services is a plus

　　Ability to understand and speak to how to compose journal entries

　　Prepare financial reports

　　Assist with monthly close processes

　　Familiarity with GAAP Compliance

　　Proficient with Excel
