　　This is manual work of a semi-skilled nature maintaining public services and repairing properties for which the departments of the City are responsible.

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGraduation from a standard senior-high school or GED equivalent, recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE), and

　　Six (6) months recent experience using hand tools and materials used in maintenance and repair work, and

　　Six (6) months recent experience operating power driven tools and light or medium automotive equipment, and

　　A completed employment application to include, but not limited to, detailed description of duties, month and year, and complete address on each job listed.

　　Necessary Special Requirements:Qualified candidates may be required to demonstrate their proficiency in the operation of different pieces of equipment at the time of their interview.

　　Possession of a valid operator driver's license and an acceptable driving record. (PBA 09/10/01)

　　An applicant for this position is subject to various background investigations to include a criminal, credit, past employment, and reference checks.
