Job Opening:The Department of Fish and Game, Division of Marine Fisheries seeks applicants for a Sportfish Restoration Grant Administrative Assistant Contactor to perform the following duties: DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide up-to-date information about the status of project funds to ensure the satisfactory completion of project segments through proper funding and/or extensions of project periods. * Assisted in the preparation of grant-related correspondence and documents. * Assist with procurement of new Inventory Database. * Update and maintain the Inventory database. Conduct annual inventory reviews by state requirements. * Assist with editing and compiling notices, letters, and other correspondence. * Assist with re-organizing the archived Sportfish Restoration Program documentation. * Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AT HIRE: * Ability to give oral and written instructions in a precise and understandable manner, to write concisely, express thoughts clearly, and develop ideas logically. * Ability to work independently, adapt to varying work situations, and deal tactfully and establish rapport with others, including employees, supervisors, and the public. * Ability to write and edit memos. * Knowledge of the computer-based software (Microsoft Office) used to create charts, graphs, and tables. * Ability to maintain accurate records and assemble information items according to established procedures.
