Job Description
Woodward Resource Center (WRC) is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Licensure as a Speech Pathologist by the Iowa Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Examiners is required. This is a full-time opportunity with starting pay dependent upon experience.
The mission of Woodward Resource Center is to prepare and support individuals to live in the community of their choice. Discharge planning begins at admission.
As part of the WRC team:
Provides primarily indirect service and some direct service in areas of dysphagia management and communication. Service included developing goal programs and support plans, training, and monitoring. Responsible for individuals programs to facilitate the development of social skills, receptive/expressive language, augmentative/alternative communication and oral motor skills.
Conducts formal/informal communication evaluations. Conducts dysphagia (feeding/swallowing) screenings and assesses associated risks. Conducts augmentative/alternative communication evaluations. Conducts evaluations based on referrals from community facilities.
Participates in Individual's annual reviews/scheduled meetings related to individual programs and progress. Participates as an interdisciplinary team member when developing programs and implementing procedures.
Maintains departmental records, reports, and Individual's materials.
Attends professional meetings and workshops/training to meet continuing education requirements.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Licensure as a Speech Pathologist by the Iowa Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Examiners;
OR
possession of a Temporary Clinical License or a temporary permit as issued by the Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Examiners.
