Job Description:
Ohio University Therapy Associates ( OUTA )in southern Ohio is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join their growing team. OUTA strives to provide the highest quality rehabilitation services to individuals of all ages in Southeastern Ohio. The group is committed to partnering with Ohio University and other institutions of higher learning for clinical education and other learning experiences, as well as providing education to the community at large.
This position will include evaluation and treatment of patients of all ages in both an inpatient and outpatient hospital setting. Additional responsibilities include the administration and assessment of FEES exams, supervising students and volunteers in the clinic, completing daily documentation according to local, state and federal regulations, working together with an interdisciplinary team to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery in rehabilitation and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent as deemed by the State Board.
Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Ohio.
Applicants must have a willingness to work with students in the clinic and participate in formal and informal learning experiences.
Applicants should have at least one year of experience in evaluating and treating adult and pediatric swallowing and communication disorders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in FEES exam is preferred. Applicants without experience but demonstrating a desire to learn will be considered.
