Job Summary:
Supervise, direct, and coordinate employees, supplies and equipment. Responsible for ensuring the cleaning and maintaining of assigned property is completed according to contractual specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain all payroll records, performance documents and disciplinary actions
Assign tasks to workers based on job requirements or special assignments
Perform quality control to conform with Harvard and customer standards
Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques
Ensure proper safety equipment and techniques are utilized and adhered to
Order and issue supplies and equipment
Responds to customer issues and escalates as necessary
Responsible for general equipment maintenance
Manage projects and special assignment as requested
The Special Services manager provides leadership to coordinate and supervise the day-to-day effective delivery of periodic services and additional above scope services.
Special Services Manager will work closely with Operations and Account Management while scheduling field work with various special project teams.
Experience in organizing and supervising and following up on janitorial project work.
Manager will also be responsible for maintenance of the division’s equipment including the vans and or trucks that are used by the project teams.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the cleaning/janitorial field
Previous Supervisory experience preferred
Valid state driver’s license
Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish
Must be able to write basic business documents
Ideal candidate will maintain a professional and ethical behavior and always be respectful to employees always serving customers with a positive attitude.
Ability to apply problem solving skills and common sense in the resolution of critical situations.
Ability to work independently and understanding the necessity in proper communications in the organization.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Hold professional conversations with clients, subordinates, and colleagues
Operate all basic office technology
Ability to conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups at all professional levels
Work in close proximity to others
Work outdoors in all changing weather condition in geographical area
Standing and/or walking, sitting, stooping, or kneeling
