　　Located in the world's best backyard, Southern Utah University is known for its year-round access to outdoor recreation and surrounding national parks. Drawing millions of tourists each year, many are making southern Utah their home. SUU's Community and Workforce Development department aims to help communities thrive by connecting adult learners to campus resources and regional training/employment opportunities. We provide accessible, short-term learning programs for entering high-skill and targeted industries. Our efforts support key industries including healthcare, computer technology/cyber security, advanced manufacturing, aviation, parks and recreation leadership, and tourism/ hospitality management. 　　This position will play a key role in expanding the region's workforce capacity by engaging local organizations and promoting certificate education, workforce training, and employment opportunities broadly.

　　Communicate career pathway opportunities and resources that lead members of underserved populations to valuable skills training, employment opportunities, and ongoing education

　　Gather and report information about career upskilling opportunities from community agencies to inform new program development Why should you join our project?

　　Strengthen the local economy by working with economic development leaders and local agencies to develop a high-skill/qualified workforce

　　Work with Governor's One Utah Summit team and other regional partners to promote career training and education

　　Develop professional skills while preparing for a career in community development, education, professional communication, or social services.
