Position Summary:
The Enrollment Advisor serves as a resource for students navigating PimaCommunity College. This position responds to student inquiries viatelephone, email, walk-ins, and virtually to guide students through theenrollment funnel. The areas of information include, but are not limitedto: admissions, advising, assessment and testing, career services,financial aid, graduation services, new student orientation,registration, student self-service, virtual services, veteran\'sservices, welcome desk, assisting students, employees and the publicwith providing advising, admissions, and registration information.
The work schedule for this position is flexible and may includeworking evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves assigned student caseload to proactively reach out to newlyadmitted students and help them through the Enrollment FunnelMonitors and answers student inquiries via media platforms and PCConline services. Responds via email and phone to variety ofstudents\' questions and inquiriesResearches and resolves student services complaints and concerns.Answers a variety of general inquiries and requests. Makesindependent determinations and recommendations to students inaccordance with guidelines prescribed by Student AffairsAdvises students on policies; procedures and processes pertaining tomultiple functional areas, and targeted academic programs or studentpopulations which include but are not limited to: academic advising,admissions/selective admissions, placement/testing; career services,general financial aid; graduation services; general informationregarding international student services, new student orientation;registration; retention of developmental education students,assisting students at selfservice stations and with generalinformation regarding veterans servicesNavigates students through the Pima platforms, including MyPima,MyDegreePlan, and the Pima website; guides students in successfuluse of platforms. Trains and assists students to navigate thestudent portal and online student services processesServes as a resource for students in completing various forms andapplications; helps students stay in compliance with collegepolicies and procedures; and maintains confidential student recordsin compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)Makes decisions or recommendations according to guidelines forfinancial aid and advising, evaluates unofficial academictranscripts and assists with initial degree plans, and prioritizesstudent service requestsMaintains up-to-date knowledge of technology in order to deliverservices to future and current students. Utilizes student managementsoftware daily such as shared inboxes and same-day call-backservices. Participates in professional development and training asneededOrganizes transfer fairs, career fairs, additional projects oractivities including training. Facilitates workshops. Recruits withlocal high schools, dual enrollment programs, and industry partnersto support collaboration and integration of technology andexperiential learningImplements department operational procedures, forms, and processesin coordination with the District Office specifications and othercampus departmentsTrains, assists and mentors incoming Student Ambassadors and staffin the enrollment processesMakes recommendations for process changes and improvements; preparesreports and conducts data collectionPerforms all other duties and responsibilities as assigned ordirected by the supervisorJob Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in related field andOne to three years of related experienceor
