Other information:EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: One year of current clinical experience ispreferred EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Graduate or a student in a programaccredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher EducationAccreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE) orCanadian Medical Association (CMA), that specifically conductsprogrammatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnosticcardiac sonography/vascular technology. Currently the only organizationsthat offer programmatic accreditation under the aforementionedassociations are the Commission on Accreditation of Allied HealthEducation Programs (CAAHEP) and the Canadian Medical Association (CMA).Associate or Bachelor\'s degree in Ultrasound/Sonography is preferred.Substantial training and current clinical experience with ARDMS registrywill be accepted. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Candidate must beproficient with ultrasound equipment and have basic knowledge of patientcare equipment. Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Newly hired, experienced sonographers must beregistry eligible through the ARDMS (American Registry of DiagnosticMedical Sonographers). Sonographers will be required to be registered inAbdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB) and Vascular (VT). Each registry not obtainedat the time hire will need to be completed every 9 months until allregistries are complete.
