This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.You will be involved in the planning, design, and construction of facilities crucial to Blue Origin's growth at our campus in Kent, WA. You will contribute your electrical expertise to projects large and small (Complete commercial property development to single machine installations). These projects will be located across several sites we have in the Kent and Renton area. This position requires collaboration with internal and external planning and design teams, operation leads, the construction management team, local utilities, and regional Authorities Having Jurisdiction.Special MentionsRelocation providedRegional travel centered around Kent, WAShift available: Monday - Friday - Day Shift (hours vary)Interviews will include a technical assessmentResponsibilities:Work with internal partners to develop electrical requirements that will support office, lab, and production area power needs.Represent Blue Origin as subject matter expert to ensure properties under development have adequate power and are laid out in a way that will allow for future expandability.Develop relationship with our electrical utilities supplier (PSE) and be able to represent Blue Origin's current and future needs.Develop and manage a system of monitoring our power usage to determine existing capacities and areas of availability. Maintain and analyze equipment data and historical records to reduce or eliminate repetitive failures.In collaboration with our on-site electricians, develop procedures, coordinate, and be responsible for contractors performing maintenance activities on critical electrical systems with primary emphasis on switchgear, generators, and uninterruptible power supplies.Perform work in compliance with National Electrical Code, Safety Health and Environmental Affairs (SHEA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and other applicable codes and regulations.Work with our CAD partners and architects to develop one-line drawings and library of as-built drawings for ease of access.Meet ambitious deadlines and timelines by prioritizing concurrent tasks, developing work plans and fostering communication between staff members and managers across numerous departments to share progress, resolve roadblocks, and design executable action plans.Coordinate and communicate with management, engineering, equipment vendors and business partners to analyze equipment design requirements and capabilities, schedule maintenance and mitigate concerns.Coordinate with the Facilities Operations and Maintenance team to maintain appropriate modification and preventive maintenance records.Find safety improvements and operational cost savings.Develop drawings and specifications to define requirements for building repairs and modifications.Minimum Qualifications:B.S. degree in electrical engineering.1+ years of experience in a commercial / industrial plant setting, engineering firm or electrical contracting firm in which you performed similar role.Strong project planning / management, estimating / budget management, scheduling and team leadership skills.Strong safety mentality and experience with hands-on planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations.
