About KBR and the Project
KBR’s Estates Intelligence team are market-leaders in the public sector FM Assurance market, providing innovative centralised technical platforms and professional services to a diverse central government and specialist departmental estates portfolios to enable them to manage their estates and manage the supply chains that maintain their estates.
About the Role
The role is accountable for overseeing the efficient operation of our team's technology processes, including infrastructure and applications, alignment of technology stacks across client contracts, and transitions from current PaaS providers. Responsibilities include coordinating technology requirements, maintaining a documented technology strategy, contributing to bids, mentoring colleagues on technology and architecture, and aligning with KBR best practices. Collaboration with Product Managers and the Release Manager is key and ensures understanding of architecture impact during releases.
The role also involves reviewing and approving design documentation and test completion reports, providing assurance for major releases, overseeing Disaster Recovery plans and tests, addressing technical debt, and actively participating in technical discussions during service management meetings with KBR partners.
What We're Looking For
The team is looking for an experienced solution architect with a background in on-prem, private and public cloud systems. Experience of designing and delivering Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence solutions is highly desirable . The right candidate will be responsible for designing the long term technology solution, aligning with the business strategy and the aspirations and needs of our clients. We are likely to be transitioning some services between providers and so experience of transition support is essential.
Qualifications
Essential
At least 7 years experience in an architectural role
Professional cloud certifications (e.g., IBM, Azure, AWS)
TOGAF Certification
Desirable
Professional Information Security Certifications (e.g., ISO27001, CompTIA, CISSP)This is a hybrid role - 3 days per week in the office, 2 days per week remote
