About Cook

　　[Porter County Juvenile Services Center is looking for a part-time cook at the Juvenile Detention Center.

　　Candidate will be responsible for food preparation, portion control, and serving meals. Position will also aid in menu preparation, purchasing food, equipment and supplies, meal quality control, cleanliness of operations and storage, and establishing and maintaining smooth operations of the food service program.

　　[ServSafe certification and experience is preferred.Candidate must be able to work various hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) with minimal supervision in a secure setting.Candidate must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or high school equivalent (i.e.: GED, TASC, HiSET).All applicants must submit to criminal, Department of Child Services, and sex offender registry background checks.
