In this role you will lead design and development of test campaigns to be used across product lines, for mission-critical customer programs. To be considered for this role, you must be a pragmatic, organized, and innovative engineer who is passionate about quality and reliability.Staff Software Test Engineer-Testing Lead Job Duties:*Lead design and development of test campaigns for satellites and avionics through TDD, manual test and automation, and emulation & physical test beds, to meet project requirements and timelines.*Own execution of test campaigns for your program - status/standup, sprint planning, tasking, etc.*Lead embedded test teams in an agile environment to achieve timely completion of test campaigns, while meeting project requirements.*Definite and implement unit tests and regression tests for components and subsystems*Lead cross-functional teams of developers and systems engineers to develop test plans and validate unit tests*Contribute to integration and testing for disparate components*Create and execute automated and manual system tests*Manage SW production infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, tools and well documented processes*Design, develop, and document the CI/CD system for the flight software, ground station and control system*Support deployment of a complex set of satellite and component emulationsKNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:*Must be a U.S. Person (US Citizen or Green Card)*Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in CS, CE, or EE*Over 6 years" experience testing and verifying embedded software, written in C for Embedded Linux*Strong expertise with Python relevant to testing automation and infrastructure*Expertise with C/C++ relevant to debugging and fault analysis*Expertise with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins and Gitlab*Proven experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products on-time and on-budget.*Proven ability to lead & mentor teams of earlier career software or test engineers*Expertise with Virtualization; building and maintaining Docker containers*Software version control using Git*A hardware testing mindset*Hardware test bench development and maintenance experienceIf you are interested in this Staff Software Test Engineer-Testing Lead job in Tukwila, WA please apply via the 'apply now' link provided.Belcan is a global supplier of engineering, technical recruiting, and IT services to customers in the aerospace, industrial, and government sectors.
