Consistently provides a high level of customer service while communicating and interacting with patients, customers and associates.
Assess patients' ability to place their orders without assistance for room service. Completes menu selection with patients unable to call the Diet Call Center.
Delivers patient meals correctly identifying patient before delivery.
Assisting patient with tray set up. Assures meals are delivered within 45 minute order/delivery time.
Completes advance meals orders with family members.
Check missed meal report to assure patients are receiving a meal and provide service to new patients.
Utilize computerized Tray Monitor system to document service of trays
Checks patient tray tickets against STAR diet review to assure tray ticket is accurate and consistent with diet order and patient preferences
Computer skills: Effectively utilizes all appropriate systems: Patient Care System, CBORD Diet Office Management, Palm Pilot for Bedside Menu Entry, ATK and Personal Registrar. Appropriate use of Internet/Intranet
Visits all patients as assigned (BME and Levels of care) and addresses patient / family diet concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Qualifications
Education: High school or equivalent required. Additional college training in dietetics or related field preferred.
Licensure / Certification: N/A
Experience: Previous health care experience or demonstrated knowledge of dietetics and medical terminology preferred
Knowledgeable in Basic Computer Skills
Demonstrates priority setting, organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under stressful situations
Effective Communication Skills
Works independently with little supervision.
Effective verbal, written communication and interpersonal relations skills
Possesses a high level of professionalism and the ability to establish good rapport with patients, family members, staff and physicians.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts/variable schedules.
Experience in dealing with customer service.
Demonstrate a neat and clean appearance.
