Summary You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (OA) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will identify problems with collected data, resolve conflicts and prepare summary reports. You will serve as a recorder for meetings, selection boards or bid openings. You will assist in the preparation of presentations and briefings. You will assist with management studies by gathering and researching regulations. You will assist in maintaining office management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This position has a selective placement factor (SPF) that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: The ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and composing a wide variety of correspondence and reports utilizing various automation software (e.g. Microsoft office suite, windows, databases) to provide clerical and administrative support; 2) Managing and maintaining accurate data files for site personnel; 3) Assisting in the development of graphs and reports for management review; 4) Providing routine customer support when receiving and answering in person requests, telephone inquiries and emails; and 5) Checking for accuracy working with professional staff and contractors.
