Software Test EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will engage in both manual and automated software testing using Python, support the development of controls verification and validation testing, and translate system requirements specifications into detailed test plans and procedures. Additionally, the candidate will write formal test reports and function as a member of the project team with verification and validation ownership.

Responsibilities

Perform manual and automated software testing using Python.

Support the development of controls verification and validation testing.

Translate system requirements specifications into detailed test plans and procedures.

Write formal test reports.

Function as a member of the project team with verification and validation ownership.

Collaborate with a team of technicians to execute system controls test plans.

Essential Skills

Experience in software testing and validation.

Proficiency in Python.

Ability to develop and execute test plans.

Strong understanding of verification and validation test methodologies.

Experience in troubleshooting test failures down to root cause and recommending corrective actions.

Knowledge of CANopen and J1939 buses and frameworks.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Experience with C++ or similar structured programming languages is a plus.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
