Apple's Audio and Media Technologies group (AMT) is seeking an experienced software engineering lead to join our Streaming Media team. The Streaming Media team works on core technologies that power groundbreaking audio-visual experiences on Apple's platforms (iPhones/iPads, Apple TV, Apple Watch, macOS, and Vision Pro). We are also the creators of the HTTP Live Streaming protocol, one of the most successful adaptive bitrate streaming solutions in the industry. You will take part in designing groundbreaking features and experiences for future OS releases and contribute to the advancement of video streaming technologies!

　　Excellent prioritization skills and focus Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and communications skills Strong software development experience in C or Objective-C Proficiency in multi-threaded development and synchronization primitives Excellent solid understanding of Operating Systems fundamentals (virtual memory, IPC, CPU scheduling, file system, IO management, application execution, etc.,) Debugging and solving software issues using system profiling, network analysis tools (e.g., GDB/LLDB, Valgrind, Xcode Instruments, Wireshark, etc.,)

　　At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $174,000 and $261,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
