ALTA IT is looking for a senior Azure Architect with an Azure certification for a long-term remote contract. An Azure Administrator Associates certification is preferred. US Citizenship is required due to client clearance requirements. This role is 100% remote.

　　Azure Principal Computer Systems Architect to join its dynamic team of technical professionals supporting Business Systems. You should have demonstrated experience in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring. Design and develop system architecture and define key capabilities and performance requirements. Define system implementation approach and operational concept. Ensure requirements are met and evaluate performance with the business partner.

　　This position offers the ability to work remotely with a requirement to travel 10% of the time to support collaboration.

　　Job Responsibilities:

　　As a Principal Computer Systems Architect, you'll have the opportunity to work with the Microsoft Azure Government and Commercial Cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include:

　　· Apply knowledge of Azure operations to cover six or more of the following services: Azure VM, Azure Blobs, Azure Virtual Networking, Azure Load Balancing/Application Gateway, Azure VM Scale Sets, Azure DNS, Azure AD/Entra, Azure Activity Log, Azure Application Insights, Azure Automation, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Container Apps/Registry/Kubernetes, and Azure Databases to include SQL, Postgres, MySQL, SQL Serverless, Cosmo DB, etc.

　　· Develop automation scripts to streamline system management.

　　· Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers.

　　· Conducting software installations for both custom developed and COTs applications.

　　· Managing server and software configurations, ensuring adherence to established procedures, and documenting system changes.

　　· Monitoring system health and designing solutions to improve performance metrics.

　　· Offering technical guidance to the customer and operations team on Azure environment intricacies.

　　· Troubleshooting performance issues through root-cause analysis and addressing system challenges.

　　· Additional duties may include creating and maintaining service accounts and groups, maintaining system documentation, optimizing system performance, and allocating storage space.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　· Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or other STEM discipline preferred with a Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate certification and 4 years of relevant experience

　　· Proficiency in Windows and Linux System Administration, including management, troubleshooting, configuration, and patching

　　· Expertise in writing automated scripts using languages like PowerShell, Python, and/or Java.

　　· Familiarity with COTS package upgrades and software deployments

　　Preferred qualifications

　　· An Azure Administrator Associates certification and three years’ hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure

　　· Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and native automation toolsets (Azure Automation, Azure App Service, Azure Functions)

　　· Knowledge of PKI Certificate based authentication / Single Sign-On

　　· Knowledge of Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, DNS and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Cosmo DB, others)

　　· Knowledge of networking and communications

　　· Experience with configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Code Commit/Build/Deploy, Ansible, Packer, Chef or Puppet
