  What You Will Do:

  As a member of the engineering management team, you will be leading the efforts to grow our 3D Warehouse business by helping the engineering team develop new features and helping align the team with our business goals.

  We are looking for a manager who can grow engineers and help out technically when necessary. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled, motivated, collaborative -- and pretty low-key about it all. You should have hands-on experience using modern frontend technologies like Vue, React or Angular as well as some exposure to AWS (or Azure or Google Cloud) and be willing to constantly expand your knowledge when and where necessary. You understand what it takes to scale a web application up to tens of millions of users and work with very large datasets, and you're excited to roll up your sleeves for the next big challenge.

  Key Responsibilities:Grow the engineering team by hiring great engineers that deliver high quality capabilities for the business.Work closely with Product Management in estimating, identifying risks/dependencies and enabling your team to deliver integrated, high-quality software solutions.Define the roadmap for the team together with Product Management.Create clear career paths for team members and help them grow with regular, in-depth mentoring.Perform regular 1:1s to share and seek feedback.Lead the team in being a high performer with respect to the DORA metrics consisting of Lead Time to Changes, Deployment Frequency, Mean Time to Recovery, and Change Failure Rate.Work with senior engineers on the team to build out technical roadmaps that enable the growth of the business and keep the technical stack reliable and stable.Have high technical competence, a strong technical background with a track record of individual technical accomplishments which can be used to guide the team when needed.What Skills & Experience You Should Bring: BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of Software Engineering experience with knowledge of all phases of SDLC, having spent at-least 2 years in leadership positions.Strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, both on a strategic and operational level, structured working style with the ability to plan and organize.Intercultural awareness and strong interpersonal skills (e.g., networking, partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).5 or more years of experience with Javascript or Typescript and modern frontend frameworks (eg. Vue, React or Angular).Familiarity with common commercial software development best practices and agile development processes.Bonus Skills/Experience:Experience in 3D modeling or 3D graphics.Familiarity with SketchUp and visually creative industries like architecture, interior design, landscape design, or woodworking.Experience with AWS, Azure or an equivalent cloud technology.About SketchUp, a Colorado startup all grown up
