We are thought leaders in the application of seeker, guidance, and control technologies, and wehave a place for you as a Senior Principal Software Engineering Integrated Product Team Lead at our Huntsville, Alabama facility.
Job Overview and Opportunities
We are seeking a talented, experienced Software grounded Integrated Product Team Lead to help us create our advanced solutions in the area of precision guided munitions and missiles. You will lead the algorithms and software development teams as they develop and incorporate algorithms implemented in software within a multi-processor architecture that also incorporates GPUs. Our algorithms transform both radar and infrared gathered signals to enable weapons to precisely find their target and keep our warfighters safe as they execute their missions.
You will provide technical leadership and project management with cost and schedule responsibilities. You will have both an Algorithms Lead and Software Lead to support you and the program to realize its advanced solution. This position is customer facing and will include Project Management reporting, documentation, and updates to both Program Management and the Software Organization.
This is a hands-on leader of leaders role all working together in a dynamic team environment.
Further Responsibilities
Establish required management systems and provide leadership to assure the effective performance of work, close monitoring of cost and schedule, and take timely and effective corrective action.
Provide leadership to lower level software technical leads and managers.
Establish communication to keep management informed of the team s progress and results.
Use existing processes and evolve processes to utilize the most effective new techniques as they become available, assuring the use of methodologies which minimize both design cost and product cost.
Provide, directly or indirectly, top level technical leadership for the assigned design discipline(s) including selection and exploitation of promising new technologies, long-term goals, etc.
Collaboration with a cross-functional team under the guidance and mentorship of the Chief Engineer to demonstrate the solutions to both the project and customers.
Ensure effective communication among engineers, management and all other participants in the architecture and design process.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience
Active Secret Level Clearance or higher
Experience with software and algorithms engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
Previous experience in project leadership
Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams
Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Previous experience in people and/or project management
Real-time embedded development using an Agile approach
Working knowledge of Radar and/or EOIR systems and fundamentals
Software automated test development and execution in a DevSecOps based Software Factory
Designing and/or implementing software algorithms
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $127900 - $217400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
