As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, Chief Administrative Office Technology, you will function as a seasoned member of an agile team. Your responsibility will be to design and deliver reliable, industry-leading Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
In your role, you will be responsible for development and support of investment projects and minor enhancements for SAP Accounts Payable and Receivables Modules. Activities performed include business analysis, functional specifications, testing, scheduling setup, performance tuning, problem resolution, and post implementation support.
Job responsibilities
Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials (specifically - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Project Systems and Reporting)
Perform detailed analysis of complex business requirements/regulatory changes and provide industry standard system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document customer requirements.
Map business requirements/processes, regulatory changes, and configure/develop necessary changes within SAP FI module to meet client's need.
Design, configure, customize and testing of FI modules. Plus, a good understanding of integration with other modules (SAP Material Management, Sales & Distribution).
Company standard documentation for all test scripts including Unit Testing, Informal Testing and User Acceptance Testing with documentation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Experience in supporting SAP - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset Accounting, Project Systems, Inter-company Accounting and Reporting.
Experience in interfacing with Ariba, Concur or other invoice processing applications.
Working knowledge of SAP FI table architecture and should be able to independently design, prepare functional specification document and walkthrough with the SAP Technical Team (ABAP).
Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures; conceptual clarity related to GAAP & other Accounting Principles are must.
Working knowledge of Tax Accounting and Regulatory Changes and configuration/build within SAP FI module.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience working in Agile Methodology and ServiceNow Ticketing Tool
Experience within S4 HANA implementation/support is preferrable.
