DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Position Title: Engineer II, Software (P2)
Role:As a Software Engineer II you will join the digital engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that provide exceptional value to our customers. Your proficiency in Java programming and deep understanding of the AWS cloud ecosystem will be essential in delivering scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
Responsibilities * Design and develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code using Java technologies and best practices. * Design and implement cloud-based solutions using various AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and more. * Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of applications by implementing appropriate design patterns and cloud optimizations. * Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain code quality and improve team productivity. * Troubleshoot and debug issues across the software stack, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. * Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes, continuous integration, and automated testing. * Engage in continuous learning for emerging technologies and best practices.

Education/Certifications * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field * AWS certifications a plus
Experience/Minimum Requirements * 3+ years' experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on the JAVA ecosystem * Experience writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java, along with experience in related technologies and frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.). * Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services, and the ability to solve problems of moderate scope and implement solutions where analysis or data requires a review of a variety of factors * Experience with database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases. * Understand software development principles, design patterns, and coding best practices. * Familiarity working in an agile environment
Working Conditions:This is a remote role with the expectation of occasional on-site/in-person collaboration with teammates and stakeholders that may require up to 20% travel.
For New York, Colorado, California, and Washington residents- The hiring range offered for this position is $88,320 - $125,000 annually. In addition to salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 15% of annual salary. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
