　　Job Summary

　　NetApp is looking for an experienced Seasoned Software Engineer to join our Data Protection and Replication technologies group.(DART) This team owns the data replication from primary to secondary sites. Incase of disaster then the secondary sites start serving the data, we also handle Data Migration from one site to another

　　As a Technical Member, you will work as part of a team of skilled system engineers accountable for participating in the design, development, debugging, maintenance & testing. As part of the Research and Development function, system software engineers focus on enhancements to existing products as well as new product development, needing a deep working knowledge of file systems.

　　Work as a member of the Data Protection Team on projects involving development of new features, sustenance, handling engineering escalations Work on technologies related to data replication, backup and protection Participate in all phases of product development cycle: from product definition and design, through implementation, debugging, testing and early customer support Work collaboratively with other peer team members and other teams on the product like QA, STE support and other dependent engineering teams to deliver solutions, understand customer use cases, and bring in the value from those teams into work done within the team. Works independently with very little supervision. Should be able to work with other engineers and lead technical efforts

　　Experience in the architecture, design and development of system software.Good hands on experience in C, C++ languages and debugging with GDBIn depth knowledge of Unix/Linux System Programming, Multithreaded programmingStorage Domain experience Virtualization experience is a plusShould have strong conceptual understanding of OS internalsStrong algorithms, data structures and multi-threaded programming expertise are required

　　Education

　　A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.

　　A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required.
