About Software Development Manager - III (L6), Amazon Warehousing and Distribution

  Description

  Are you looking for an opportunity to create a new supply chain product? We are a startup team working to enable organizations across the world with reliable, cost effective and flexible end-to-end supply chain solutions, to help them scale, succeed and offer best in class experience to their customers.

  We are looking for Software Development Managers who are seeking opportunities to apply their past experience supporting Amazon’s supply chain offerings. We aim to create a highly technical and entrepreneurial culture and you will help us foster that.

  Key job responsibilities

  Own the roadmap of the charter that enable the customers with data insights and metrics

  Document and present strategies to senior management.

  Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.

  Management of resources, hiring, mentoring, enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class product development team.

  Work closely with the engineers and product managers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.

  Report on status of development, quality, operations and system performance to leadership.

  The ideal candidate will be a leader, quick learner and be able to work independently. He/she should be able to operate in a fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical. The candidate will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions.

  We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Bangalore, KA, IND

  Basic Qualifications

  8+ years of engineering team management experience

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  8+ years of experience in software development

  3+ years’ experience as a direct manager of engineers leading a highly effective team

  Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

  Preferred Qualifications

  Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

  5+ years’ experience leading team developing applications backed by AWS services or using other cloud based software

  Believes in people first, and leads with empathy

  Customer obsessed with the ability to distill customer requirements into technical solutions

  Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and management

  Strong business and technical vision

  Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time

  Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements, underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solution
