As a Bridge Engineer at RK&K you will prepare designs and provide structural condition inspections for bridges and related transportation structures for various projects. This is an exciting opportunity for growth and development into Project Management.Essential Functions:Provide preliminary concepts to final construction plans and construction phase reviewsDesign structural components of bridges, box culverts, retaining walls and related structures; buildings and foundations; pump station enclosures, tanks, vaults, thrust blocks, etc.Provide expertise in geometric layout and quantity developmentParticipate in plan development in concert with CADD staffCalculate bridge load ratingsPerform structural inspections for bridges and related structuresDraft and submit inspection reportsCollaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across RK&K's portfolioQualifications:3-7 years of experience in bridge / structural engineering - PennDOT projectsMinimum of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or structural engineeringRegistered Project Engineer (P.E.) or the ability to obtain within 2 years of hireExperience with CADD and design software such as: STADD Pro, Larsa4D, Leap Bridge Modules, MicroStation, various other structural programsEffective, professional oral and written communicationMust be able to work in the field as needed and willing to perform bridge inspectionsPreferred:Master's degree in civil engineering or structuresPennDOT inspection certificationsNBIS Bridge Inspection Training preferredWhat We Offer:RK&K offers excellent potential for career advancement and professional growth.
