As a Software Development Manager (SDM), you’ll manage the engineering design and decisions with a team of engineers and product partners. To succeed in this role, you believe in high standards for code quality, code reviews, testing, and operational excellence. You create mechanisms for achieving results and iterating improvements and can lead a team to deliver results in a space that operates like a start-up, with the autonomy to build the right solution from Day One. About the team

The mission of the EU INTech Consumer Selection Discovery teams is to help customers find, evaluate and compare products they like, need or want. Our vision is that every customer should be confident to find the best product for their specific needs and preferences at the best value with very low effort. We believe that every customer and their situation require specific attention and so we build delightful shopping experiences that are tailored to the customer’s mission. We innovate from EU for the WW customer. To achieve that, we partner with WW business and tech teams from Softlines, Consumables and Hardlines and other platform/host teams. We don’t settle for an average 'one size fits all' and find the right CX for customers on each product family (PF) while delivering a cohesive sitewide CX.

Basic Qualifications

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Experience in engineering team management

Experience in engineering

Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services

Experience partnering with product and program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
