We are looking to hire a skilled Software Test Engineer to help our Software development team verify and deliver quality features and products to our customers. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for liaising with key stakeholders to analyze new product features, design and implement test plans, carry out integration testing, and provide detailed feedback to engineering and marketing on the status of software.
To ensure success as a Software Test Engineer, you should have a good eye for detail, in-depth knowledge of engineering and product design, and the ability to think outside the square. Ultimately, a successful Test Engineer can create simple yet thorough test plans and procedures to ensure the peak performance of a product and report them in a detailed and timely manner.
Job Responsibilities: Create bug reports with detailed information and relevant supporting diagnostic information to allow the effective triaging and resolution of software issuesCarry out regression testing, integration testing, and exploratory testing of Agricultural products on a wide range of displays, GNSS receivers, flow and application control, steering, guidance, and machine control productsWorking closely with relevant stakeholders to determine product testing requirements and specifications. This may include software developers, engineers, and marketing/product ownersCreating and updating test and regression plans for new features or products or replacement productsCreating and updating manual and automated test cases, test execution and test reportingCarrying out integration testing in accordance with Trimble software development proceduresHelping diagnose, troubleshoot and reproduce customer escalated cases and liaising with the Trimble support teamTake ownership as testing lead on a wide variety of projects and reporting to internal testing, marketing, and engineering teams throughout the development cycle from inception to releaseAdvocate on usability or operational design on behalf of the customer to provide feedback to engineering and marketing on the usability of our productsJob Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field of study, or equivalent experienceExtensive knowledge of engineering and testing proceduresGood problem-solving skillsAbility to project manageAbility to troubleshoot and think out of the boxHigh-level technical writing skillsAbility to work remotely with teams located across the globeFluent, verbal and written in English and FrenchYou have 4+ years of proven work experiencePreferred Experience: Understanding of software testingFamiliarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Bamboo would be an advantageISTQB Certified Tester "Foundation Level"/"Advanced Level"/"Agile Tester" certificationExperience with test frameworks (e.g. xUnit, Junit, GoogleTest, Qt Test)Experience with Vector Canoe, Vector CAN analyzerDevelopment of test concepts according to ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119Understanding of agricultural techniques and procedures and customer needs in this sectorTrimble's Inclusiveness Commitment
