Our Software Development Engineers (SDEs) use cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems and get to see the impact of their work first-hand.The challenges SDEs solve for at Amazon are big and influence millions of customers, sellers, and products around the world. If this sounds interesting to you, apply and come chart your own path at Amazon.Key job responsibilities* Develop software to generate secure infrastructure as code* Build scalable services to support preventative and detective infrastructure scans* Build user-friendly interfaces to complex security products* Develop integrations with internal tools, build systems, etc* Mentor junior SDEs and security engineers who will contribute to your projectsAbout the teamThe Cloud Security team ensures the secure use of cloud services at Amazon, and balances our requirements against developer productivity and business needs. We enforce security best practices through a full Software Development Lifecycle approach, with detections and auto-remediations that enforce security controls post-deployment, and static analysis and secure defaults that prevent misconfigurations from being deployed.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Austin, TX, USA | Seattle, WA, USA- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
