The Mainframe Modernization group is looking for a talented Java Software Developer Engineer to help build our customers' next generation critical systems. You will be working with a team of experienced Developers, Engineers, Architects and Dev/Ops specialists to enable our customer to transform their Mainframe Applications and go live on AWS using EC2, EKS, ECS, Aurora, RDS, RDS, EFS, KMS. In the process, you will have the opportunity to work as a full stack developer on the latest version of Spring Boot, Angular and Groovy. You will also integrate with complex external systems and use the latest engineering techniques with automated CI/CD pipelines for deployment and testing.
Key job responsibilities
When testing identifies differences in the expected result, finding the root cause and working with the Blu Age software product team requires knowledge of the transformed application code and from the JAVA framework that are used.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will:
Test, troubleshoot and fix the modernized code
Conduct the testing management with the customer and prepare deliveries
Identify and plan for the tasks with the customer
Work with the customer to define the integration design specifying the scope and details
Deliver the modernized application together with integration models
Design and develop interfaces to mitigate immediate risk
Raise the level of performance to match the customers Mainframe application CPU time
Preserve the quality of the code and the functional equivalence of the modernized application
Design and develop new Transformation and Runtime features for unsupported legacy code statements
Lead and supervise other junior SDEs
A day in the life
You will work on exciting cutting edge technologies that enable our customers to migrate to the cloud.
You will closely interact with the R&D teams, your manager and the rest of the team to find innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
You will be responsible for coding, testing, debugging modernized business workflows.
You will integrate with the external systems using REST, queuing systems, messaging systems and many other techniques.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
1+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
