Responsibilities
We are seeking a mission-focused Software Developerto support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Denver, Colorado!
ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED
This position is on a program that develops and operates Geospatial Intelligence analysis software. The team builds and maintains a robust platform enabling users to address challenging problems by converting disparate data into actionable information. They work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes of Geospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer opponents.
As a Software Developer, you will:
Work in collaboration with other developers and teams to establish an enterprise SOM and CV tool suite for the IC utilizing COTS, FOSS, and GOTS capabilities.
Collaborate on the integration of capabilities from different systems and be a key voice in the design, development, testing and integration.
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
An active TS/SCI security clearance, preferably with CI polygraph
Two (2) years of experience in software development (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a technical discipline
Demonstrated experience developing with modern languages such as: Python, Ruby, Clojure, Java, JavaScript, etc.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies
Demonstrated experience integrating multiple applications
Experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to mission problems
Demonstrated experience using work-flow charts and diagrams
Demonstrated experience building scalable solutions to mission problems
Demonstrated experience incorporating knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic
Demonstrated experience writing or contributing to end user instructions or manuals
Demonstrated experience assigning, coordinating, and reviewing the work and activities of developer personnel
Demonstrated experience using rapid prototyping and Agile based software development methodologies
Demonstrated experience developing innovative analytical solutions
Demonstrated experience using Java-based technologies to develop enterprise systems
Demonstrated research and development experience on the progression of ideas to production systems
Effective communication skills
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
Understanding of machine learning concepts
Experience with development in micro-service based architectures
Understanding of web application development concepts
Experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, NiFi automation
AWS experience
Demonstrated experience with continuous integration and software CM processes / tools (Subversion, GIT, JIRA, Confluence)
Demonstrated experience with building DevOps pipelines for enterprise systems
Demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code applications (Chef, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps and/or, Architect, etc.)
Experience with computer vision (CV)
Security+ Certification
Security Clearance Level
TS/SCI with an adjudicated CI polygraph or ability to obtain a CI polygraph

Pay Rate
The projected compensation range for this position is $95,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
