About Wholesale Sales Professional

  As a Wholesale Tree Nursery Salesman, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our company by generating and maintaining sales of our nursery's inventory. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with commercial clients and assisting them in selecting the right trees and plants for their specific landscaping needs. This role demands a passion for horticulture and the ability to communicate effectively while providing exceptional service.

  Benefits

  $80,000 recoverable draw 

  3% commission (Paid biweekly) with the opportunity for commission to increase.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                       

  Providing exceptional service throughout the customer’s experience.

  Communicating effectively in-person & over the phone to discover the wholesale customer’s wants and needs.

  Selling AND Closing a customer based on their wants and needs

  Facilitating steps of the sale, such as the showing our value proposition, going over photos and layout with customers, design consults as needed, learning their long term and short-term goals, evaluating external design factors, submitting finance applications, and sticking with the customer through the free planning process.

  Maintaining a working knowledge of our products and appropriately recommending them to our valued customers.

  Navigating and using various provided computer programs as selling tools.

  Seeking out opportunities for self-development, participating in training, and welcoming feedback.

  Building and maintaining strong relationships and demonstrating excellent teamwork.

  Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities                                                                                                                                 

  Must have at least 10 years of direct experience in selling trees and landscaping

  Must have experience in a B2B selling environment

  Develop and implement strategic plans for sales growth

  Must have knowledge of plants, agricultural, landscape, hardscape, and installation

  Must have existing customers, and a network of contacts

  Develop relationships and listen to customer needs to identify areas of sales growth and customer retention.

  Must be able to negotiate very large and high-ticket agreements

  Must be able to work in a face paced environment

  Education                                                                                                                                                                                                Four-year degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience)   Physical requirements/Working conditions                                                                                                                                   Primarily working in a basic office environment: ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects up to 15 lbs.  Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.     OTHER                                                                                                                                                                                                     Subject to MVR and Criminal background check and being able to get bonded by an acceptable surety company.   About Us                                                                                                                                                                                                Moon Valley Nurseries is the largest grower of box trees and palms in North America, and is an industry leader and high growth company that offers competitive salaries with exceptional employee benefits including medical insurance, 401(k), holidays, and PTO to all eligible employees.
