Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for oversight of Access Crisis Intervention programs including the 988 Mobile Crisis Response Team, and Crisis Clinicians. Provides crisis intervention, assessment and referrals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Provides direct supervision of Crisis Outreach Supervisor and Crisis Clinicians to ensure appropriate clinical response, crisis response and coverage and meeting Certified Community Behavioral Health Center guidelines.
• Coordinates crisis team functioning including staff meetings, staffing challenging consumer situations, identifying resources to assist in reducing the number of hospitalizations and/or/length of stay, and/or law enforcement contacts.
• Provides leadership in implementing the Zero Suicide initiative.
• Directs management of agency ACI Services.
• Provides crisis back up including assessment and referral, crisis face-to-face or phone calls regularly as scheduled or as needed.
• Provides after hours administrative oversight of the Mobile Crisis Response Team.
• Provides backup coverage as needed to direct reports.
• Provides clinical consultation as needed to all clinical staff in regards to crisis situations.
• Works alongside Director of Crisis and Access to identify gaps in services and ways to address needs.
• Completes clinical documentation in AVATAR within 72 hours of service provided which clearly reflect interventions provided and necessity of those interventions.
• Maintains knowledge of agency technology programs and/or systems needed to do the job and uses them effectively.
• Maintains required training and certifications.
• Maintains required agency productivity standards.
• Attends and participate in weekly team meetings and monthly all staff meetings.
• Other duties and/or responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Education/Certifications:
• Master’s Degree required
• Clinical Licensure (e.g. LPC) required
• CPR/First Aid Certification
Experience Required:
• 2-3 years of position-related experience required.
Required Knowledge:
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Prior mental health and/or substance use knowledge required.
• Strong knowledge of clinical best practices in behavioral health.
• Prior healthcare technology software experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present healthcare information in an understandable manner to both individuals and groups as needed.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, terminology, diagnoses, and best practice knowledge required.
• The ability to develop various presentations, trainings and programs on various clinical topics.
