Work closely with developers to support new feature design and testing new product features. Represent quality engineering in scrums and contribute to testing and ensure products meet our company's Quality standards. Develop automated and manual test scenarios to validate various products features such as IPS, IDS (i.e. Snort), routing, switching, and IPSec VPNs on next generation hardware accelerated firewall platforms. Develop test automation framework, setup and maintain network infrastructure to support feature and system testing of Sophos next-generation high performance family of IPS and firewall products. Develop tools and infrastructure to improve the quality and efficiency of testing and test methodologies. Analyze test results, debug test failures and file defects. Continually assess and evaluate existing test cases and suites with the objective of identifying and eliminating potential gaps in test coverage. Perform investigation and analysis to determine root cause of customer found defects. Responsible for reproducing and troubleshooting bugs and issues with the developer. Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field of study (or foreign degree equivalent). Required Experience: one year of experience working with configuration management tools and using CI/CD tool sets. Other Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of networking concepts and protocols. Demonstrated knowledge of network security applications, including, firewalls, IPS, IDS, routing, switching, IPsec and SSL. Demonstrated knowledge of Linux operating systems and open-source network tools for testing. Demonstrated ability in Python or shell scripting. M-F, 9-5. $71,032 to $100,000/year.
